Ordering and pricing
How much does FitFoodz cost?
Meals are R120 each, so a package starts at R1,680 for 14. As a FitFoodz Family member you unlock free meals that bring the effective cost down: the Family Member box is 30 meals for R2,999, which is R100 a meal, and the best member value is 55 meals for R4,799, which is about R87 a meal. Every price on the site includes VAT.
What is the minimum order?
Fourteen meals. Build your own box with anything from 14 to 60 meals mixed however you like, or take a ready-made package, which also starts at 14 meals for R1,680.
Do I need a subscription, or can I order once?
There are no subscriptions and no contracts. You order when you want and as much as you want. Every order still counts towards your FitFoodz Family tier, so there is no commitment and nothing to cancel.
How do I place an order?
Pick a ready-made package or build your own box, choose your delivery area, and check out. Your account is created from your email address as you order, so there is nothing to set up first.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card, instant EFT, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Pay Later if you would rather pay in instalments. Choose Pay Later on the payment page at checkout. Payments are handled by our payment providers on their own secure pages, and we never store your card number.
Food and nutrition
How are your macros calculated?
Every meal is weighed and portioned in our own kitchen to match the macronutrient targets for its plan. We use professional scales and standardised recipes, and the macros for each meal are printed on its label and shown on the product page.
Can I choose which meals I get?
Yes. Build your own box and pick every meal yourself, mixing ranges however you like. You can only add what your depot actually has on the shelf that day, so nothing in your box is a surprise later.
Do you cater for allergies or dietary restrictions?
Our meals are prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens including nuts, dairy, gluten and eggs, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free meal. Ingredients are labelled on every meal. If you have a food allergy, please contact us before you order.
Is FitFoodz halal certified?
No, not at this time. We understand it matters to many customers and we would rather you knew before ordering.
How long do the meals last?
Two to three days in the fridge, and up to six months in the freezer. Every meal carries a best-before date. Keep what you will eat in the next few days in the fridge and freeze the rest.
How do I heat my meals?
Microwave for two to three minutes with the film still on the tray. There is no need to remove the lid or move the food to another dish. From frozen, thaw overnight in the fridge first.
Is the packaging microwave safe?
Yes. Our trays are BPA free and fully microwave safe. Leave the film on and microwave for two to three minutes.
Are your meals suitable for diabetics?
Our meals are macro counted with the exact carbohydrate value on every label, which makes them easier to fit around blood sugar management. Many diabetic customers use our Weight Loss plans, which are lower in carbohydrate. We are not medical professionals, so please check with yours.
What ingredients do you use?
Fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Proteins are chicken, rump and steak strips, and lean mince. Carbohydrates are basmati and brown rice, potato and sweet potato mash, pasta, couscous and butternut. These are paired with vegetables such as green beans, roasted veg, creamy spinach, stir fry and sweet corn.
Delivery
Do you deliver to my address?
We deliver to every province in South Africa. Enter your postal code on the site and it will show you the options and the cost for your address. If it turns out we cannot reach you, we refund you in full.
Do you deliver to Johannesburg and Pretoria?
Yes. Johannesburg, Pretoria and the greater Gauteng area are served from our Midrand depot, including Sandton, Centurion, Randburg, Roodepoort, Fourways and the surrounding areas.
Do you deliver to Cape Town?
Yes. Cape Town and the Western Cape are served from our Cape Town depot, including the Northern Suburbs, Southern Suburbs, Atlantic Seaboard, Helderberg and the surrounding areas.
How long does delivery take?
We confirm your delivery date when your order is dispatched, and on the day you get a time window by WhatsApp and email plus live tracking. We confirm the date once your box is actually packed rather than promising one at checkout we might not be able to keep.
How much does delivery cost?
It depends on where you are, and the exact cost for your address is shown to you at checkout before you pay. Collection from our Potchefstroom kitchen is free. In our Gauteng and Western Cape delivery areas it is R149 with our own team or R199 next-day. Everywhere else in South Africa it is R249 by courier, or R349 if you want your order packed and couriered first. Some packages include delivery, and where they do the product page says so.
Will my food arrive frozen?
Your meals leave us frozen and travel in insulated packaging with ice packs. Depending on the distance, some meals can arrive part-thawed, which is normal and safe. Get the box into a freezer as soon as it arrives.
FitFoodz Family
What is FitFoodz Family?
Our loyalty programme. You become a Family Member on your first order and move up through four tiers: Family Member, Family Plus, Family VIP and Family Legend. Each tier is a bigger box with more free meals, not a deeper discount.
How do free meals work?
You pick every meal yourself, including the free ones. The free meals are chicken meals, so build your box to include at least your tier’s number of them and the discount applies automatically. As a Family Member you build a 30 meal box and pay for 25, because 5 chicken meals are free. At Family VIP and above you build a 55 meal box and pay for 40, with 15 free. Your tier’s ready-made package already has the free meals built in.
How do I check my tier and benefits?
Sign in and open your FitFoodz Family page. It shows your current tier, what you have saved, and how close you are to the next level.
