Cookie notice

This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on fitfoodz.co.za, what they do, and how to control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we do with your personal information.

What these are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use pixels, tags, web beacons and local storage, which do similar jobs. We group them into three kinds.

Strictly necessary

The site does not work without these. They run your basket, your checkout, your sign-in and our fraud and security checks, and they remember which depot serves your area so that we show you what is actually in stock near you. You cannot switch these off and still shop.

Analytics

These tell us how the site is used so that we can improve it: which pages people visit, where they leave, whether a page is slow.

Advertising

These measure whether our advertising works and let us show you relevant ads on other platforms.

Google Ads and Google Merchant Center, for conversion measurement and shopping listings
Meta, through the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API, for Facebook and Instagram
TikTok, through the TikTok Pixel and the Events API
Omnisend, for email marketing measurement

Some of these also receive a hashed version of your email address, which lets a platform match you to your account there without ever seeing your real address. This is explained fully in the Privacy Policy under "Advertising and Marketing", and you can object to it at any time.

We never put health or fitness information into any of these.

How to control them

In our cookie banner, when it appears.
In your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary ones will stop parts of the site working, including checkout.
With the platforms directly, using the opt-out links on our Marketing preferences page.
Do Not Track: there is still no consistent industry standard for these browser signals, so we do not currently change our collection in response to them. We say so rather than imply otherwise.
